How much does marquee hire cost for a party in Ireland?
Published party marquee hire prices from Irish hire companies, how many guests each size suits, and what extras like chairs, heaters and flooring cost.

A marquee in the garden is one way to host a communion, christening or milestone birthday at home. Many marquee companies only quote on request, but a few publish their party prices. These were checked on 7 November 2026.
Published party marquee prices
From City Hire, which lists Limerick, Clare and Tipperary as its area:

City Hire says lights are included with every marquee.
Suir Marquee Hire in Thurles, Co. Tipperary lists €300 to €450 to rent a 4m x 6m to 4m x 10m marquee for private events, communions and birthday parties, on its Golden Pages listing.
So a party marquee for 30 to 50 guests costs €250 to €450 on these lists, before extras.

City Hire says transport and set-up costs may apply, without listing a price, so ask for it in writing.
Working out the size
Extreme Structures, a Dublin marquee company, publishes how many people each size holds:

Seated numbers are much lower than standing, so decide whether guests will sit down to eat before you choose a size. Extreme Structures does not publish prices; it quotes on request.
Before you book
- Measure the space, and check whether the marquee can go on grass, a patio or both.
- Ask whether set-up, take-down and delivery are included.
- Ask what happens if high winds are forecast.
